Will Martina
Since basing himself in New York, Will has performed with, and been changed by, great artists such as Dave Liebman, Josh Roseman, MuthaWit, Kyp Malone, JT Lewis, Brandon Ross, Jason Lindner, and many others inside both New York’s shiniest and grimiest venues.
Over the years he has also performed and toured with numerous other bands and individuals (some well-known, some less so) across four continents. A recent recording project, ‘Dry Spell’, with drummer Nasheet Waits and Burnt Sugar’s very own Justice Dilla-X is currently in post-production.
Will has also recently collaborated with the artist Janet Biggs composing and performing the scores for a set of of works which were successfully exhibited in Barcelona, Miami, and Atlanta. He is also honored to have had the opportunity to perform and record with Bassam Saba, both as a part of his small ensemble and the New York Arabic Orchestra.
Will enjoys a diverse and active life as a musician, but remains happiest when on stage with Burnt Sugar.
